Many thanks to all who came to round table tonight. I now know who I want on my team the next time we play the dreidel game. One CM left with pocketfuls! :o)
As you'll know from our time together at round table, certain handouts never made it to the meeting. But of course, as every good scout knows, the secret to successful scouting is to "use your resources." Consequently, I'm putting my digital media resources to work and I've been busily posting all seven handouts I'd originally pulled together for tonight -- these include ceremony ideas (particularly with the Blue and Gold Banquet coming up), additional ideas for the core value of respect, and the all-important dreidel pattern. Hopefully, these materials will help out with your December pack meeting plans, even if they simply act as a springboard to move you on to even bigger and better ideas. (Which, of course, we hope you'll then share with us!)
Remember tonight's words of wisdom: make it fun, give all the boys a chance to be actively involved, and don't be afraid to delegate. I'm still convinced delegation is a sign of good leadership.
Good luck with your upcoming pack meetings, and we'll see you next month at round table --
