August Adventures

First, many thanks to all who came to the August roundtable. We had a blast playing Zulu Ball and tossing bean bags in sort of a milk jug Lacrosse fashion. I also apologize for not getting a roundtable reminder posted sooner. Between masters classes, a family vacation to Illinois, and gearing up for wood badge, things got sort of crazy for a few weeks. I'm now at the "half way" point for wood badge, and thoroughly enjoying it. Lots to remember, little sleep, and goals to set, but the staff has made it fun all the way along. If you're wavering as to whether it would be worth your time to go, my answer would be, "Just do it." September openings are still available -- and there's still scholarship money out there. Check with your unit (LDS unit = ward), your zone (LDS zone = stake), and the scout office in Idaho Falls. Those are your three best supports in finding scholarship money for wood badge.

Also, remember we'll have roundtable again in September, on Thursday the 8th at 7:30 pm at the Cresthaven church up on the hill in Rexburg, not far from the water tower. I'll be providing you with ideas that go with October's core value of responsibility and a few other hints and great ideas. See you soon!
